Been going here for years and you can't beat the comfortable cabins, great food, amazing fishing and friendly staff.
We recently booked a cabin for August of this year. It was a vacation to celebrate our 20th anniversary. When we called and made the reservation, we were told emphatically that the cabin was ours. We sent our deposit (more than required) within a couple days. Then, about a week or so later we received a letter in the mail from Life of Riley saying they were looking forward to seeing us on June 23rd. That concerned us, so we called to see what the mix up was. We were told that someone had called us and left a message that we had to call and confirm our reservation within 2 days...which didn't explain the wrong reservation date. They even asked if we just moved to Chicago because there was someone with the same last name there...In reality, no one had left us a message. We were told that since we hadn't confirmed within the 2 days, they rented the cottage to someone else...but we could stay in a different cabin. We didn't want a different cabin. We were also told that the person they rented the cabin to got their deposit to them before we did. How could that be possible?! I would never trust this resort to get a reservation right...and they obviously don't tell the truth. That is a very poor way to run a business.
Stayed here and this place is awesome, really enjoyed it here, and I'd recommend anyone looking for a resort to stay at, to stay here
Stayed just for a weekend. Comfortable cabins and super friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't ask for anything more!
